Well, sort of.

If you're one of the lucky few who aren't on Instagram or YouTube, you probably have no clue that I've been doing a 100 Day Challenge. I'll be real with you, I started it as a way of generating content: I've always struggled to post about my work consistently and this felt like a good way to build the habit.

It's since evolved into something of a learning journey and, as cheesy as that sounds, I'm really grateful that I started it. I've not only gotten better at making tiny pots, but I've also discovered new shapes and forms that resonate, and new ways of manipulating the clay. I've even come to learn how to produce a video - from concept, to filming, to editing, and even to composing the silly little background music.

It hasn't always been easy and it's definitely been more than 100 days since I started... When I initially worked everything out, I was supposed to finish in June. And yet, thanks to a house move (and plenty of other excuses), it's now September and I'm still plodding along.

I guess you could say that I've failed miserably at both being consistent and completing the challenge within the allotted time but I feel like this project may have outgrown it's initial purpose (at least for me). My tiny vases have become an integral part of my practice. They're not just an exercise or a warm up but an exploration of what it means to be so small, and the relationship that creates with the work.

Any way, enough philosophy (that can be for another post) - here is the latest instalment of my challenge for you to check out!

Until next time,

Adela x
